In Startup50 2017: JoulestoWatts, a talent collaboration firm that helps its clients with several layers of their staffing needs is funded by by Manipal Group & SAHA Fund.  The company is recognized for its ability to scale up at breakneck pace, touching over Rs. 32 crore in revenue last fiscal, a revenue growth of 10x from the year before.

Founded in October 2014, this Technology Consulting and Talent Management firm’s innovative platform and service has helped its clients address their technology and talent gaps. The company’s in-house portals (j2wofferletter.com and j2wpremierlounge.com) help in serving its clients in the fastest possible way to address project challenges. 

j2wofferletter.com, a machine learning and artificial intelligence based system, is an end-to-end requirement fulfilment with quality measures at every step of the work flow. j2wpremierlounge.com is a next gen platform which changes the way project fulfilment happens currently as it focuses on niche and senior requirements that can be engaged on demand.  

In a short span of two years, it is working with more than 60 large captives, services and products company and has monthly revenue of Rs. 5.5 crore. 

Marketing Strategy

The company believes in service-based marketing. It has been able to grow to 1500+ employees (out of which 65 per cent are women) and get projects due to its focus on delivery quality and speed. The company believes that J2W Premier Lounge will change the way talent is engaged for a project. And hence, it plans to adopt several awareness drives through online and offline media to showcase the great advantages of varied engagement models.

Challenges galore

While Industry is facing major challenges in the niche skills area, there is still some resistance towards adopting the new models and they continue to work in a conventional way. Majority of the software development projects have moved towards Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, DevOps to meet the market needs in the fastest way possible. Today, projects need talent in exact similar way but the talent industry is slow in opening up for the new models of engagement.  

Future growth

In three years, the company aims to be the largest and the fastest talent management company. It expects J2W Premier Lounge to be the most sought after platform and the model for all niche and senior engagements which will change the face of how staffing is done today.
