Global research and analytics company, The Smart Cube, is helping companies adopt analytics end-to-end to make more intelligent business decisions
The Smart Cube is a global research and analytics company founded in 2003 by Gautam Singh and Omer Abdullah. It has offices in the UK, the USA, Switzerland, Romania and India. Its clients include a third of the companies in the FTSE and Fortune 100 space. They primarily span the CPG, life sciences, energy, chemicals, industrials, financial services, professional services and retail sectors. When it comes to solutions, The Smart Cube offers procurement and supply chain intelligence, commercial, sales and marketing intelligence, analytics and digital services, and investment and research analytics services to its clients.
For example, in the analytics and digital services space, it helps clients realize the full value of their organizational data through several steps. It consolidates and integrates data from silos. It demonstrates its effectiveness by applying the analytics in real time business challenges and goals. It embeds analytics into the business culture. It builds shared frameworks and capabilities. And, it leverages centralized data assets to reduce operational costs.
When it comes to business growth, in a January 2022 press release, the company announced that its revenues grew by over 40% and its advanced analytics business doubled in growth in 2021. It recruited 326 new team members and added four of the top five global CPG companies, and three of the top five Life Sciences companies to its portfolio.
One of the key initiatives The Smart Cube took when the pandemic hit was to make its on-demand procurement intelligence platform, Amplifi Pro, available to everyone. In May 2019, The Smart Cube had developed this platform to deliver regular content and insights to its clients on the global supply chain, logistics and procurement industry. When the pandemic hit in 2020, the company opened it up to big and small companies worldwide, to access procurement intelligence for their businesses. In fact, in a press release, the company noted that ‘The Smart Cube responded to the surge in demand for COVID-19 related intelligence requests with a dedicated Resource Center, hosting free sector, category and thematic reports, updated regularly.’
Today, the company has been recognized as an analytics pioneer in the inaugural edition of the ProcureTech100 – the 100 pioneering digital solutions across the Procurement ecosystem. It has also been listed among the ‘50 Providers to Know’ in 2021 by Spend Matters. And, for the fifth consecutive year, it has been ranked as a ‘Great Place to Work’.
