Consure Medical, a medical devices company founded by  Nishith Chasmawala, Amit Sharma, is one of India’s few start-ups that has a US FDA approved medical device. 

The company’s key product, Qora, is the world’s first US FDA cleared stool management system that diverts liquid to semi-formed stool for bedridden patients, especially in ICUs. This apart, it has also completed the development of three products and successfully completed all safety, efficacy, and target-patient studies in India and USA. These products have been cleared by US FDA for commercial use and expecting additional regulatory clearances in EU and Japan. The Qora technology is currently being used by select hospitals in India and USA. 

While Consure’s flagship set of products is focused on the management of fecal incontinence in patients across a wide continuum of care, it was originally founded as a company focused on managing diseases of the lower GI tract. It is now growing towards becoming India’s most innovative and exciting critical care medical device organization. In the next three years, Consure aims to have commercialized products that alleviate pain and help care providers provide access to a larger patient population. Within the next 10 years, Consure envisions itself as the leading critical care healthcare company in India.
