Chennai-based Uniphore Software Systems develops multi lingual speech-based software products that allow any machine to understand and respond to natural human speech, thus enabling humans to use the most natural of communication modes, speech, to engage and instruct machines. It is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model.

The company is funded by NRDC, RTBI, Indian Angel Networks, Ray Stata, YourNest Angel Fund-Scheme 1, Pathithi Investment Trust, YourNest Angel Fund Scheme, Pandara Trust Scheme 1 and IDG Ventures Fund.

Employing a team of 95, it has over four million end users across the globe.

Strengths

Uniphore’s speech analytics solutions, amongst the very few to offer in both real-time and batch mode, can integrate with third party CRMs and voice loggers.

In fact, the company has launched the next version of its popular speech analytics solution, auMina version 2.4 which is designed to drive a set of business outcomes by providing predictive and prescriptive insights from data.

At 95.16 percent accuracy in lab conditions, the keyword spotting engine leads the industry, enabling consistent, predictable and actionable insights. It supports more than 30 global languages with multiple dialects in each language, which makes it unique. It can be implemented onpremise or on cloud, and is augmented by a SaaS-based managed services business model.

Given the language barrier in India, Uniphore’s solution enables people to interact with their phones and access services such as online banking by communicating in their native languages. This breakthrough enabled people to break the barriers of language, literacy and fear of technology to empower their lives thus creating a social revolution.

The company has received several accolades and awards, including recognition from London & Partners as India’s Top 20 Emerging Global Companies (2016); Pride of India Awards from IDG Ventures (2015); and Deloitte as Technology Fast 50 India (2014, 2015).
